April Pick 3 Pinterest Linky

Hey Friends! Happy April! Did you play any fun pranks on your students this year? Since the "brownie" trick spread through my school like wild fire last year, I had to blow some dust off of my good, old-fashioned following directions test this year. You know the one that says to read all the directions first, and then the last question informs them that they don't actually have to complete the test? Would you believe that all but ONE of my students fell for that trick? Yikes.

It's time for the Pick 3 Pinterest Party! Big thanks to Inspired Owl's Corner, Pawsitively Teaching, and Just Reed for hosting this fun monthly link up!

Here is what I am eyeing up for the month of April!

How about these seed-starting pots? You may remember the Pinterest fail I had last year when I planted seeds in ice cream cones! Ha ha. This looks like a nice alternative. I'm going to start collecting the toilet paper tubes this week so we can cut and fold the bottoms before Earth Day on April 22nd!

I just love, love, love this testing anxiety idea from Ideas by Jivey! The students write all their worries on paper and then cut them up into tiny pieces. What a great way to get rid of the fear! I am definitely adding this to my plans for Friday!

Then, wouldn't it be fun to recycle those tiny shreds of paper? This is the easiest method of paper recycling that I could find. I have always wanted to make paper with my students. Now, thanks to state testing, I have a good reason to give it a try! The directions call for a few small wooden picture frames and some wire screen. Those should be easy to find. If this project comes to fruition, I'll let you know how it goes!
